A video of an elephant stealing a woman's hat and returning it after playing a prank on her has gone viral.

In the video, a woman can be seen standing in front of an elephant to click a picture.

Suddenly, the elephant steals the woman's hat, and as the woman requests the elephant to give back the hat, it takes out from its mouth and returns it to her.

Rex Chapman shared the video on his Twitter account, and the video has garnered more than 320.3k views and over 13.4k likes.

However, the video received mixed reactions from people; some find it funny while few criticised training animals for doing such tricks.
