Watch: Mangaluru doctor refuses to wear a mask in a supermarket; netizens express their outrage

A video of a Mangaluru doctor, B Srinivas Kakkilaya refusing to wear a face mask in a supermarket has gone viral.

In the video, Dr Kakkilaya can be seen arguing at the billing counter of a supermarket in Mangaluru and can be heard saying: "mask ki zaroorat nahi" (there is no need for a mask).

The incident happened at Jimmy's Super Mart Kadri, Ryan Rosario, in Mangaluru.

Even after several attempts by supermarket staff, the doctor refused to wear a mask and claimed that the government had made a foolish rule.

However, the video went viral on social media, and netizens criticised the doctor and demanded strict action against him.
