Watch: Forest officials rescue elephant calf from reservoir; netizens love it

A video of forest officials rescuing an elephant calf from a reservoir makes rounds on social media for all the right reasons.

In the video, the elephant can be seen attempting several times to climb out of the reservoir but fails.

However, after 3-4 hours of hard work, forest officials, with the help of sticks and ropes, managed to pull the elephant out of the reservoir.

After being rescued from the reservoir, the elephant calf was reunited with his mother.

IFS officer Parveen Kaswan shared the video with a caption, “Kiddo fell into reservoir from where water was being supplied to village. Territorial team, wildlife squad II and vet team reached on time. Was rescued and happily united with family. Mother was watching from safe. Our team (sic).”

The video went viral and garnered more than 69,000 views, and people applauded the team for its efforts in saving the baby elephant.
