Viral video: Lifeguard rescues five tourists from drowning

The drowning tourists were rescued in a dramatic manner in Karnataka's Gokarna beach.

 

Five tourists from Tumakuru went to a temple in Gokarna and later went to the beach. As they failed to get the information of depression in the sea and high tidal waves, all the five were swept into the ocean.

 

One of them shouted for help. As soon as the SOS was heard, lifeguard Shekhar and Nityanand took the motor boat and rushed towards the drowning tourists.

 

They managed to bring all the five back to the shore, however one of the tourists identified as Rangaswamiah died in the hospital as he failed to respond to treatment.

 

The lifeguards are receiving appreciation following their brave act of risking their lives and saving others.
