K'taka Lockdown: BBMP staff thrash public, force them to undergo COVID test to reach target

The BBMP which has the highest number of Covid cases and is known for laxity, corruption and maladministration has once again landed in controversy as BBMP staff beat up and force the public to undergo Covid test.

The incident happened at Nagarathpet, an area dominated by the Marwadi community and a youth can be seen dragged out from his house gate and in another video a youth was beaten.

As per information, the BBMP is said to be exhibiting high-handedness to help the private agency reach its daily target of testing and hence allegedly was forcing public standing at their house gates to undergo Covid test.

Soon after the video of BBMP staff manhandling the public went viral, the staff vanished into thin air.
