The latest study by the Indian Council of Medical Research, published in  UK medical journal 'Lancet', notes that there may be a surge in diabetes case in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh in the coming years.

Due to the cyclonic formation,  heavy rainfall is expected in many states. 

On December 8, light to moderate rain is expected in many places with isolated thunderstorms and lightning likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal areas.

The low pressure area is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm and reach southwest Bay of Bengal near north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coast by December 8 morning.
