The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has rolled out a Sarige Suraksha ICU on wheels bus.
Built in-house by the KSRTC at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh, the bus is a five-bed ambulance with an oxygen system for each bed, a patient monitor (BP, oxygen amount, ECG, temperature) system, a ventilator facility, emergency medical system and a generator system.
The idea behind rolling out the bus is to assist Covid-19 patients to get rest and much-needed oxygen before they arrive at hospitals.
