The Rameshwaram Cafe in Karnataka's Bengaluru reopened for customers on Saturday morning, almost eight days after an explosion that left at least ten people injured. The blast took place at the cafe in Bengaluru's Whitefield area on March 1.
 

Karnataka police arrest three for pro-Pakistan slogans in Vidhan Soudha. Arrestees identified as Ilthaz, Munavar, and Mohammad Shafi. The forensic report confirmed that the video of the said incident was not doctored and that pro-Pakistan slogans were indeed raised in the assembly.

The blast, which occurred on Friday afternoon, resulted in injuries to both staff and patrons at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. Nonetheless, authorities confirm that everyone is currently on the road to recovery.

Bengaluru police have detained a suspect in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, revealing careful planning and evasion tactics. CCTV footage, intelligence analysis, and phone records led to the arrest, suggesting a wider network involvement. Charges under the IPC, UAPA, and Explosive Substances Act have been invoked, marking a significant breakthrough in the investigation.

A complaint filed with the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner accuses Constable Hutchusabh Kadimani of extorting ₹5,000 from a woman during a routine drunk driving check near ISRO Junction. Commissioner Dayanand ordered an inquiry after confirming the constable's misconduct, including muting his body camera during the incident, in violation of protocol.

Bengaluru police arrest a swindler who defrauded a woman from Andhra Pradesh of 70 lakhs, promising to double her investment. The accused, using multiple aliases, exploited her trust with false promises linked to a spiritual figure. After a thorough investigation, authorities seized a portion of the stolen money and apprehended the accused in Mysore.

Bengaluru, known as India's Silicon Valley, is grappling with a significant shortage of police personnel, according to Police Commissioner B. Dayananda. Speaking at a meeting with social media leaders, Commissioner Dayananda highlighted that Bengaluru currently has only 191 policemen per lakh population, a figure significantly lower than other major cities in India.
 

The South Western Railway Zone, in collaboration with the Railway Protection Corps and State Railway Police, is surveying to enhance security at railway stations. Proposed measures include metal detectors, baggage scanners, and increased CC cameras. Aiming for an airport security model, the initiative addresses safety concerns and involves joint surveys by RPF and GRP.

A dispute over the removal of a Hanumadhwaja (saffron flag) in Keragodu village, Mandya district, Karnataka, sparked flag-related controversies. After the police removed the saffron flag, protests ensued. In Bengaluru, a green (Muslim) flag was also removed from Chandni Chowk, following a social media post. The police cited unauthorized installation and enforced regulations. 

In a bid to enhance safety and security within Paying Guest (PG) accommodations, the Bengaluru City Police have introduced additional measures in application of Section 34(d) with Section 70 of the Karnataka Police Act. These measures, aimed at safeguarding residents and preventing criminal activities, supplement the previously outlined guidelines. 

In a breakthrough, the Whitefield Division police in Bengaluru dismantled a notorious vehicle theft ring, resulting in the arrest of five individuals and the confiscation of 51 stolen bikes valued at Rs.55 lakh.  ACP Priyadarshini Ishwar Sanekoppa of Marathahalli sub-division led the operation, highlighting the city's commitment to curbing criminal activities and ensuring public safety.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda conducted inspections at sensitive areas ahead of the Pran Pratishthan event at Ayodhya Ram Mandir. He visited various police stations, scrutinized register books for security details, and emphasized vigilance. Strict actions and heightened police deployment are planned for the inauguration day to ensure resident safety and smooth proceedings. The Commissioner instructed personnel to be on high alert.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B. Dayanand vows to file criminal cases against parents' neglect within the city, emphasizing the legal consequences under the Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007. In a New Year initiative, Commissioner Dayanand personally distributed gifts at old age homes and disabled facilities, urging strict action against those abandoning parents without valid reasons.

The Jnanabharati police in Bengaluru have arrested Sanjay and associates for abducting and extorting money from customers at Sanjay's garage. An accomplice, Thimma, is still at large. The arrests followed an attempted kidnapping of Kishan Kumar, who escaped and reported the incident. The gang, childhood friends, targeted affluent customers for ransom. One victim, Gurusiddappa, was murdered, and the gang celebrated with the stolen money in Goa before their arrest. The police are investigating possible links to previous abductions.

In a major crackdown, Bengaluru's East Division police arrested nine individuals, including a foreign woman, in connection with an alleged online prostitution ring operating through platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp. DCP D. Devaraj led the operation targeting 'The Leelapark Hotel,' unveiling an intricate setup under the 'Bengaluru Dating Club.' B. Dayanand stressed the severity of human trafficking, likening it to terrorism, and highlighted ongoing efforts to dismantle such networks.
