The maximum temperature in Palakkad district will rise to 39 degrees Celsius, 37 degrees in Kollam, Alappuzha, Kannur and Kozhikode districts, 36 degrees in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Malappuram and Kasaragod districts.

The police have reached the spot and started the investigation. The police are trying to find out the mystery of the incident and the connection between both deaths.

At the same time, IMD said the maximum temperatures were very likely to be around 39 degrees Celsius in Palakkad, around 38 degrees Celsius in Kollam, Thrissur and Kozhikode, around 37 degrees Celsius in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Kannur districts and around 36 degrees Celsius in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Malappuram and Kasaragod districts from May 4 to May 6.

Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts are likely to receive heavy rain today.

From April 29 to May 3, the maximum temperature in Palakkad district will rise to 41 degrees Celsius; 40 degrees in Kollam and Thrissur districts, 39 degrees in Kozhikode, and 38 degrees in Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, and Kannur.

In a tragic accident, five people were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry at Punnachery in Kannapuram, Kannur on Monday (April 29) night. Their bodies have been kept at Pariyaram Medical College hospital.

Thrissur and Palakkad districts recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius while Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Kannur districts recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius today.
