Assam's Tinsukia district residents were lucky enough to have a rare sight of the spectacular bird floating in the Maguri-Motapung beel of the region.

A team of avian specialists from Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) spotted the mandarin duck.

WTI's CEO Vivek Menon announced the duck's spotting on social media platforms and ever since the news was shared, videos of the duck went massively viral on the internet.
