'Surrender over death' -- Security forces in Kashmir met with yet another success in their effort to get misguided youths to lay down their weapons and return.
Today, amid the Pampore encounter, an injured Sultan Meer surrendered before the forces after being urged by them to do so. Two terrorists were killed in the same encounter.
In a video, Meer, who took up weapons after being misled by Pakistan-based terrorists in September, thanked the forces for giving him an opportunity to live his life again.
Clarifying that he wasn't tortured on being captured by the forces, Meer appealed to others like him to not be misled and that this bloodshed served no purpose.
