The Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar stated that an extensive inspection will done on tipper lorries in the state in the coming few days. 

Air India Express has announced the cancellation of 12 services from various airports in Kerala due to a sudden lightning strike by employees, of which they were informed only two hours ago. Passengers, unaware of the cancellations, protested vigorously at the airports, leading to chaotic scenes. 
 

Four individuals, including an 8-year-old girl named Ashmika, were bitten by a rabid dog in Payyoli's Mooradu in Kozhikode. The dog was subdued by one of the victims and taken to Kannur Veterinary Medical College, where rabies infection was confirmed.
 

The Air India Express flights allegedly canceled the service from Kochi and Kannur without informing passengers today. Around three flights from Kannur, six flights from Thiruvananthapuram and four services from Cochin airport were canceled.

A husband hacked his wife's friend in Kozhikode on Monday( May 6). The incident took place near Thamarassery in Kozhikode district.

Driving school owners initiated an indefinite strike on Thursday to protest against the new regulations introduced by the state Motor Vehicle Department for driving tests. This decision was collectively made by various associations, including CITU, INTUC, and the All Kerala Driving School Owners Association, during a meeting held on Tuesday night.

The newborn baby who was hurled outside an apartment in Kochi's Panampilly Nagar will be cremated today by the police. The accused woman is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of a private hospital. 

The police arrested the accused following a complaint that they had cheated several crores from many people, including former panchayat president Sreedevi Amma, who committed suicide due to financial fraud.
