The capital is ready to celebrate Attukal Pongala today. The pongala ceremony will start with the lighting of 'pandara adupp' the main hearth at Attukal temple at 10:30 am.  The Railways and KSRTC will run special services in connection with pongala celebrations today.

A KSRTC conductor identified as Aneesh was found dead at a lodge in Kozhikode on Tuesday (Feb 13) morning. He was transferred to the Kasaragod depot recently.

A tragic incident near Yeshwantpur metro station in Bengaluru resulted in the death of a young man in a collision involving a KSRTC bus. The motorbike lost control and veered into the path of the bus. The victim, identified as a youth, succumbed to injuries. Yeshwantpur traffic police responded promptly, shifting the body for further procedures.

A series of accidents near Hoskote Court Circle on National Highway 75 left one woman dead and two injured. A canter collided with a KSRTC bus and motorcycle, resulting in the death of Sudha, 20, and injuries to Nazir Khan and Sharif Ullah. Prompt police action ensued, and the injured were admitted to the hospital.

The accident that shook the state took place on 5 February 1994 near Union High School at Chammanad in Alappuzha district. It was reported that the accident was caused by a collision between a KSRTC bus and a truck.

On Monday (February 5), Finance Minister K N Balagopal presented Kerala's budget for 2024-25. An amount of Rs 128.54 crore is earmarked as a plan fund for the various activities of KSRTC.

In Kolhara, a female bus conductor slapped a verbally abusive passenger, captured in a viral video. The dispute over change escalated, leading to the conductor's retaliation. The bus driver intervened, prompting the passenger to backtrack, but the conductor continued expressing frustration, resorting to a slipper attack.

Himavad Gopalswamy Hills in Karnataka, a popular tourist and religious destination, faces challenges like chaotic transportation, inadequate facilities, and poor roads. Despite its historical significance, visitors struggle with disorderly conditions during the journey to the revered Gopalaswamy Hill temple.

The decision to purchase electric buses will be influenced by the discussions held during this meeting based on the submitted report. Additionally, reports are suggesting that the consideration of raising the ticket price to sustain the operation of electric buses is also on the table.

The  electric double-decker bus  was purchased by KSRTC through the Smart City scheme for budget tourism. KSRTC employees and officials were the passengers in the bus driven by Ganesh Kumar.

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) generated revenue amounting to Rs 38.88 crore during the Mandala Masam season.

Transport Minister Ganesh Kumar separate discussions will be conducted with the unions, and new software will be developed for stock, account, and purchase, leading to the computerization of KSRTC administration

Kerala Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar said that electric buses in the state are running at a loss and often earn meager profits. The Transport Department shall not approve further purchase of electric buses.

In a disturbing incident near Hiriyur town in Chitradurga district, Arun Kumar, a 29-year-old manager at a private bank in Bengaluru, fell victim to an acid attack. The assault took place as Arun travelled from Chitradurga to Bengaluru in a KSRTC Rajahamsa bus, resulting in injuries to his hand and face.
