Since last year, Malaika and Arjun were seen flaunting their love for each other on the beach, with the diva’s lips against Arjun's cheek to stepping out for romantic dinner holding hands while the paparazzi's lens is following them to many places.
The couple often faces heavy criticism mainly for their age gap, but it looks like Arjun and Malaika are ready to take their relationship to the next level. Arjun has even bonded well with Malaika's family and her 17-year-old son Arhaan.
But there was a time when Arjun and Malaika wanted to keep their affair a hush-hush and used to hide from prying eyes. We all know, in 2016, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika ended their 18-year-old marriage as they declared mutual separation to the media, citing compatibility issues after months of speculations about their split. The Bandra Family Court granted them to divorce after a year in May 2017 while the custody of their then 15-year-old son Arhaan went to Malaika.
Many reports came out stating that Arbaaz and Malaika got divorced because of her rumoured affair with Arjun. During this period, it was also reported that Arjun used to visit Malaika's apartment during wee hours, also that Boney Kapoor was unhappy with this affair and tried to stop his son.
It was said that Arbaaz tried to save his 21 years old relationship with Malaika, but she did not want it. And Arjun and Malaika's growing closeness had annoyed Khan brothers, especially Salman Khan. During an event, when Arjun and Malaika had come under the same roof as Sohail Khan, the situation had turned really awkward for all.
As the event started, Arjun and Malaika were seen engaged in a conversation. But as soon as Sohail stepped into the picture, the couple started acting like strangers.
To avoid Sohail, Arjun quickly stepped out for a smoke and kept distance from Malaika. Sohail, on the other hand, seemed as if he was not in a mood to chat with them and the rest of the crowd as he took a seat in a corner. Later, Sohail and chatted with the host Vikram, posed with him for a few photographs and left the venue.
