Snowboarders Musawer Khanzai and Nasima Zirak once trudged up the steep, snowy slopes of Afghanistan's Hindu Kush mountains on foot. However, the Taliban's resurgence shattered their dreams, forcing them into exile after facing death threats and condemnation of their ‘Western’ sport. Now in France, they have found safety and are once again embracing the thrill of the slopes.
