Afghanistan crisis: People told to avoid Kabul airport as ISIS threat emerges

US and its allies have issued an alert urging people to stay away from Kabul Airport in Afghanistan after a threat of an Islamic State terror attack surfaced on August 25th evening. Apart from US, Britain and Australia too have asked people to leave the premises of Kabul Airport, citing unspecified "security threats".

US and its allies have issued an alert urging people to stay away from Kabul Airport in Afghanistan after a threat of an Islamic State terror attack surfaced on August 25th evening. Apart from US, Britain and Australia too have asked people to leave the premises of Kabul Airport, citing unspecified "security threats".

People, mostly Afghan nationals, have thronged the Kabul airport in a hope to leave the country after the Taliban recaptured Afghanistan on August 15.
