Girish Karnad's final rites: Bengaluru Central DCP briefs media on proceedings

Bengaluru: Veteran actor-playwright Girish Karnad passed away in the early hours of Monday (June 10) after suffering from a respiratory-related illness.

Speaking to reporters, Bengaluru Central DCP Devaraj said that the body would be carried to Kallahalli Electric Crematorium in Frazer town at 1 pm and the final rites will be held at 2 pm.

He also said that there would not be any rally and that the final rites ceremony would be kept lowkey, as per the request of family members.
