Youth arrested for raping schoolgirl, after forcing her to smoke narcotic cigars

Kozhikode: A 19-year-old boy was arrested by Kerala Police for allegedly raping a minor after offering her narcotic cigars. The accused is identified as CT Ashraf. According to police sources, Ashraf had been abusing the girl over the last three months. It is also reported that the boy forced the minor to smoke the narcotic cigars and then raped her.

The incident came to light after school authorities found the girl smoking in the school toilet. The school authorities questioned the girl regarding the issue, and she revealed the truth. School authorities called the minor's parents to school to explain the situation. A complaint was later filed with police.

Police took Ashraf into custody from his home based on the information provided by the victim.

It was also found that Ashraf is a prime agent selling narcotic items to students in the locality. Police produced the accused in the Kozhikode POCSO court and remanded him.
