Woman arrested for bashing up, burning grandson with wax for throwing tantrums
Unaware of the POCSO Act and trapped by the traditional mindset of silencing children for mischievous acts, a woman beat up her grandson aged 2 and burnt his hands and back with candle wax.
The naughty child had been stung by a bee while he was at tree bushes near his house. Despite warnings, he was adamant to go out. The child's mother was nursing her new-born and had left her son in her mother's care. Frustrated by his tantrums she physically assaulted him.
The child was admitted to hospital. The video of the act went viral, following which police registered a case.
