New Delhi: Minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan on November 17 said, “urban naxals, anarchists and atheists” are going to Sabarimala temple in guise of devotees, just to prove they have visited the temple, and called for the examination of such people.

“The people who are going to temple now, are urban naxals, anarchists and atheists. I don't think they're devotees. They want to prove that they too have gone to Sabarimala Temple. Whether they're really devotees, it should be examined,” Muraleedharan told ANI.

He also said that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government of Kerala is under pressure to maintain the traditions of Sabarimala.
