Rajasthan: Apathy of government hospital comes to fore

Though Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has allocated the highest budget for the health sector, a government hospital in Banswara had been treating two patients on single bed due to shortage of beds. Families of patients were furious over lack of medicines and doctors in the hospital.  
 

Jodhpur: Lack of beds, medicines and even doctors in Banswara government hospital has brought more pain to patients in Rajasthan. Being the largest government hospital in Rajasthan’s Banswara city, patients these days end up suffering more due to negligence of the health department.One death and three to four cases of dengue have been reported so far. However, the medical staff have not come up with a treatment to tackle dengue even though the number of cases reported are increasing daily. Patients at Darshal district hospital were treated poorly. Two patients were made to share a bed due to lack of beds. Even worse was some patients were treated while lying down on the floor. Rajasthan chief minister Despite Ashok Gehlot's positive attitude towards health and allocating the highest budget, most medicines seemed to be missing from the district hospital. Moreover,  the fans were not in working condition. What's worse is the lack of doctors, alleged patients’ families.
