Mysuru Dussehra: Precious stones embedded on royal throne ready for private Darbar

Mysuru Dussehra has begun today. The royal golden throne that is embedded with precious stones has been assembled and kept ready for the private Darbar of the royal family of Mysuru.

Mysuru: As the entire city of Mysuru has geared up for the Dussehra festival, the royal family of Wadiyars are getting ready for the private Durbar held during the festival. The golden throne embedded with precious stone has been all decked up for the occasion. The emblem of lion was attached to the throne between 5.10 am and 5.30 am, today. In a ritual, the sacred thread was tied around the wrist of King Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar. The rituals have begun in the palace after an elephant, cow and horse specially trained for the royal rituals arrived inside. The private darbar will be held for 30 minutes and then Goddess Chamundeshwari's idol will be carried in a procession.
