Kerala gold smuggling case: Gunman of attaché slit his veins and swallowed blade, say police

The missing gunman of United Arab Emirates’ (UAE’s) consular attaché has been found by Kerala Police. Gunman Jaya Ghosh's was found in critical condition with his veins slit. Police say he also swallowed the blade he used to slit his veins.
 

 Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police have found Jaya Ghosh, the gunman of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE’s) consular attaché connected to the Kerala gold smuggling case. Jaya Ghosh was missing for the last two days.

Ghosh was found with his veins slit. Police have rushed the gunman to hospital, who is in critical condition. According to police sources, he also swallowed the blade used to slit his veins. Jaya Ghosh also stated to police that he is innocent of any misdeeds in the Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case and that he has consumed the blade.

The investigating team has found information in the form of phone calls records which show Ghosh allegedly contacted the accused Swapna Suresh and Sarith.
