Karnataka: BSY govt feels tremors as chants of rebels grow louder
Yet to complete his term after coming to power by dislodging the Congress-JDS government, CM BS Yediyurappa is facing trouble as senior and long-standing BJP leaders have begun to hum rebel tunes.
Adding to the woes brought about by the lockdown and the deep financial crisis he faces, CM BS Yediyurappa is hearing sounds of rebellion as senior and long standing leaders of his party have cried out injustice claiming their respective communities have been let down after they were not inducted into the Cabinet.
Leaders like Umesh Katti, Basangouda Patil Yatnal, Balachandra Jarkiholi, Murugesh Nirani, Thippareddy and few others feel, BS Yediyurappa has done injustice by not giving deserving persons a Cabinet berth and are upset for giving a red carpet welcome to defectors from JD(S) and Congress.
Earlier in the day, Vijaypura MLA Yatnal openly said, BSY is not his leader and only PM Modi and Amit Shah are his leaders.
Echoing similar sentiments, six-time MLA from Chitradurga, Thippareddy said, senior MLAs were ignored and didn't get the kind of respect they deserve. Most of the senior leaders were not inducted to the Cabinet. Govt will be stable for 3 years but there is no development. Party should see beyond 3 years to come to back to power.
