After nearly two months of struggle, and running from one office to another at HAL, the HAL Market vendors and farmers have obtained permission to sell their produce. The management however has put forth conditions
Smiles are back on the faces of families of 250 vegetable and fruit vendors and farmers at HAL market as permission was given to them to operate in HAL premises.
The management had locked the gates due to fear of coronavirus spread, with markets being places for crowding. For two months, the management stopped vendors and farmers from entering its premises.
Now after intervention from minister Byrathi Basavaraj and HAL Market Fruits and Vegetables Association president Ramesh, permission was given with few conditions like less crowding, gaps between shops. Shops open on alternate days taking turns with neighbouring vendors.
