Former Karnataka minister forced to organise protest after follower slams him for silence over CAA, NRC

Known for reaching out to Muslims on every occasion and handing out money to victims of road accidents in his Assembly segment, Chamarajpet, Muslim leader Zameer Ahmed Khan has been trolled by his followers for remaining silent on CAA and NRC

While the Muslim community and others joined hands to register their protest over the Union government-initiated CAA and NRC in Bengaluru's Town Hall and in Benson Towns, popular Muslim leader and former minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan could not be found. Following his silence, his followers have trolled him and questioned his inaction on the issue.

A follower identified as Syed Zia recorded a statement asking why the leader was silent and had not taken part in any of the protests, and questioned the action of Zameer attending private functions. He also uploaded a video of the same on social media platforms.

Following Zia's statement that went viral on Facebook and later on Whatsapp, Zameer was forced to announce his support for the protests over CAA and NRC and has organised a rally in his constituency on Friday after prayers.
