Chennai Airport customs officials seize Rs 22.4 lakh worth foreign currency

Chennai: Foreign currency worth Rs 22.4 lakh was seized at Chennai Airport. A case has been registered under the Customs Act, 1962. Further details are awaited.

This is the second incident in a month in which customs officials seized huge amounts in foreign currencies.

Earlier, customs officials had seized Rs 84 lakh worth foreign currency at Chennai Airport and had detained a man for the crime.
