CAA protests turn violent, Mangaluru Police lathi-charge CFI protesters

Mangaluru: Protests have been erupting condemning the police attack on Delhi students. Campus Front of India (CFI)activists, on Monday (December 16) blocked the road in Balmatta in Karnataka's Mamgaluru and held a protest condemning the police attack on Delhi's Jamia University students. Police, who jumped into action, dragged the protestors and lathi-charged them before detaining them. The activists raised slogans against the Union government.

The protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act turned violent in Delhi on Sunday with the Delhi Police firing teargas shells and resorting to lathi-charge on Delhi’s Jamia University students.
