Moondrumavadi (Tamil Nadu): BJP workers in protest raised slogans against DMK president MK Stalin, when he was proceeding in a convoy to attend an ‘egalitarian Christmas’ festival at CSI grounds in Moondrumavadi locality on Sunday evening.

While the convoy was passing through the reserve line in the city, BJP workers carrying placards with the slogan ‘where is the original document of Murasoli land’, attempted to block Stalin’s car. However, the security guards shooed away the BJP workers immediately and cleared the route.

After a short stop, Stalin left for the function. A Christian outfit had organized the egalitarian Christmas festival.

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes had sent summons to Murasoli Trust office bearers and Tamil Nadu chief secretary K Shanmugam to probe a written complaint filed by a BJP leader, alleging that the trust was operating out of Panchami land meant for landless downtrodden, on November 19. The case was adjourned and the next hearing on the issue will take place in the first week of January.

The complainant and BJP state secretary R Srinivasan had also alleged that the DMK party did not submit any document before the commission to prove its claim that it was not Panchami land.
