Annual elephant race held at Kerala’s Guruvayoor Temple

Thrissur: The annual elephant race was held at Guruvayoor Temple in Thrissur on March 6. Gopi Kannan won the race by touching the temple mast first for the 8th time. Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the annual elephant race. A total of 24 elephants participated in the race. Elephant race marks the beginning of the 10-day annual festival of the Guruvayoor Temple.
