18-year-old Mridul Agarwal from Jaipur tops IIT JEE Advanced with highest-ever score of 96.6%

“My hard work has paid off,” said 18-year Mridul Agarwal after scoring 348 out of 360 to ace the test, far surpassing the 88.8% scored by last year’s topper. After toiling for the past few years, he initially scored 99.99% in JEE Main (February) 2021 and then achieved 100% in the March session.

JEE Advanced 2020 topper, Chirag Falor had the feather in his cap for the highest marks till now with 352/396 marks (88 per cent).

Kavya Chopra of Delhi was the only girl in the top 100, scoring 79.4% and achieving the 98th spot on the common rank list. Almost 30% of the 1.4 lakh candidates who attempted the exam qualified this year. However, only 15% of the 41,862 students who qualified were girls.
