'Sunny Deol missing' posters surface in Punjab’s Pathankot, actor reacts on Facebook

Actor-politician Sunny Deol was elected from the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab as the Member of Parliament (MP) last year after defeating opponents by a huge margin.

Chandigarh: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol who entered politics with BJP last April ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, has been declared missing in posters that have surfaced in many public places such as railway stations, parks in Pathankot, Punjab. The actor-politician was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) from Punjab’s Gurdaspur constituency after defeating Congress MP Sunil Jakhar and AAP’s Peter Masih by a huge margin.

‘Gumshuda ki Talaash (search for missing) MP Sunny Deol,' read the posters and angry locals alleged that the MP has been missing in action and not visited the constituency since long.

However, the actor took to Facebook and posted a video message to his critics. "I have heard that my detractors are coming up with nonsensical things against me. Opposition leaders should work for the welfare of people. I am also working to resolve the traffic congestion in the city. Wish you all a happy Lohri," the actor said in the video on the posters.
