Ugadi: Minister Suresh Kumar appeals to people not to panic and help poor during festival
At a time when the country faces a lockdown, minister S Suresh Kumar has urged peope not to panic and hoard items. He has appealed to people to look for daily wage labourers near their homes and help them during Ugadi.
Ugadi, a big festival for Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has turned out to be a low-key affair this year due to coronavirus. Realising the situation and the fear that looms large, Primary Education minister S Suresh Kumar has appealed to public not to panic and hoard items and has requested residents to look for daily wage laborers and offer them help to celebrate Ugadi in true sense.
Kumar asked people not to panic assuming that essentials and other items will be suspended. He instead assured people that the government will make sure all the necessary items will be made available.
