Food Compass: A new tool to rate your favourite food's health quotient

Developed by scientists at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy at Tufts, the Food Compass is a new nutrient profiling system that ascertains how different characteristics of foods and beverages positively or negatively impact one's health.

Developed by scientists at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy at Tufts, the Food Compass is a new nutrient profiling system that ascertains how different characteristics of foods and beverages positively or negatively impact one's health.

According to the system that incorporates cutting-edge science, any food, beverage or mixed dish that receives a Food Compass score of 70 or above is considered healthy and should be encouraged to consume. Ones that fall between the range of 31 to 69 are to be consumed in moderation. Anything below 30 is considered unhealthy and must be consumed sparingly.
