4 arrested for trying to extort money from Malayalam actress Shamna Kasim

Kochi: Kerala Police have arrested four people for allegedly threatening and extorting money from south Indian actress Shamna Kasim. The four were arrested after Shamna’s father filed a police complaint stating that four youngsters were threatening to release some old video clips of the actress. The four approached Shamna and her family with a marriage proposal, showing her a photograph of a TikTok model from Kasaragod as the ‘groom’. They later demanded Rs 1 lakh from her and threatened the actress.
 
Meanwhile, police revealed that a special team has been formed to probe into the case after many models also lodged complaints about similar cases.
