A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a three-week lockdown, urging people to follow social distancing to prevent the coronavirus spread.
But an MLA from the party, M Jayaram from Turuvekere in Karnataka's Tumakuru district, cut a large chocolate cake wearing white gloves and passed it to people including children.
He also arranged biryani for his supporters in Gubbi town, which is around 90 km from Bengaluru.
