COVID-19: Post Nizamuddin incident, section of Muslims in Karnataka beaten up, ostracised from village
Nizamuddin Markaz has been termed as coronavirus epicentre, and this has had its cascading effects in Karnataka too. Two Muslims, accused of spreading the virus, were reportedly beaten up and have been ostracised from their village.
Nizamuddin Markaz has been projected as epicentre of coronavirus. Post the incident, villagers in North Karnataka, beat up two Muslim men terming them as ‘coronavirus spreaders’.
The two youths were assaulted and kicked. The men have been ostracised from the Bidari village in Mudhol taluk of North Karnataka.
The men were returning from Mahalimgapura village. Mudhol Police have registered a case in this regard.
