COVID-19: Bengaluru Police impound over 6,000 vehicles which will be released only after lockdown ends

Despite warnings and providing time for people to stock groceries to remain indoors, people were seen roaming in two wheelers and cars
To crack a whip on such offenders, Bengaluru Police have impounded 6,200 vehicles so far and will continue its drive.
Members of the public would venture out on the pretext of buying groceries and essentials.
Since many people complained to police of bikes and cars roaming freely in by lanes, cops have started to monitor vehicle movement.
Police just seize the keys of bikes and take the vehicle to respective station limits.
