The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for Delhi NCR, forecasting showers throughout the day on Sunday. The weather in the region is expected to include a generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms.

The IMD forecast indicates the possibility of very heavy rainfall in isolated areas. There is also warning about the possibility of strong winds with speeds of 30-40 km/h (up to a maximum of 50 km/h) from today (Aug 10) through August 13.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (Aug 10) visited the landslide-hit Wayanad where over 400 people lost their lives and several are undergoing treatment in hospitals. He arrived at the Kannur International Airport at 11 am and was received by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Union Minister Suresh Gopi was aboard the special flight with the Prime Minister on his journey to Kannur. 
 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in the landslide-ravaged Wayanad, has directed the Kerala government to submit a memorandum detailing the extent of the disaster. He also ensured necessary financial assistance from the Centre based on that.

As part of his visit to Wayanad following the devastating landslides, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (Aug 10) reached the Bailey Bridge in Chooralamala and met with army officers. He will also be visiting survivors of the disaster at a hospital and in a relief camp.

To assess the situation in landslide-hit Wayanad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (Aug 10) arrived at the Kannur International Airport at 11 am and flew to the disaster-affected areas in a chopper. In a visit scheduled to last three hours, he initially conducted an aerial surveillance of the area.

Despite facing arrest and backlash, YouTuber Aju Alex has stated that he stands by his  against Mohanlal and has no regrets. He also said that many people in Kerala share his opinion about Mohanlal's visit to the landslide-hit areas in Wayanad.

The Kerala State Lotteries Department announced the results of the Karunya KR-666 lottery at Gorky Bhavan near Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, (Aug 10) at 3 pm. 

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Wayanad, the state government has requested Rs 2,000 crore in aid to address the extensive damage to homes, agricultural land, and infrastructure.

Prime Minister Modi, on Saturday, will visit the landslide affected area in Wayanad, where he will be briefed by the rescue forces about the evacuation efforts. He will also oversee rehabilitation works going on there.
