Uttama Prajakeeya Party will contest all seats in Lok Sabha polls in state: Upendra

Upendra registered his Uttama Prajakeeya Party in Septemeber 2018 and will contest in all 28 parliamentary seats in Lok Sabha election in Karnataka.

Kannada actor Upendra has announced that his Uttama Prajakeeya Party (UPP) will contest in all 28 seats in Karnataka during the Lok Sabha elections. He addressed media at a press conference on January 26 and confirmed that his party will contest all parliamentary seats in the state. Upendra had registered his party UPP with the election commission in September 2018. Earlier, Upendra joined hands with Puthurina Muthu D. Mahesh Gowda-led Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party (KPJP). But after a fallout with Mahesh over who held the reins of the party and parameters for the selection of candidates, he exited the KPJP and later formed the UPP.
