The accused in the Anu murder case in Kozhikode was nabbed on Saturday (Mar 16) evening in Malappuram. She was murdered during a robbery attempt in Perambra on March 11.  

The Thiruvananthapuram Vigilance Court adjourned the petition filed by Mathew Kuzhalnadan, MLA, against the Chief Minister and his daughter to March 27.

The defeat in the Kerala assembly election has plunged the Congress into crisis and put senior state leaders Ramesh Chennithala, Oommen Chandy and Mullapally Ramachandran in a spot of bother.

Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan won Dharmadam assembly constituency in a clean sweep, while Congress retained Palakkad and defeated Metro Man E Sreedharan by 1000 votes.

The LDF, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, looks all set for a comeback in Kerala as counting to the 140-seat Assembly is underway.

 Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who contested from the Dharmadam Assembly constituency, is leading.  

Initial trends in Kerala show that of the 39 constituencies, the LDF is leading in 27 seats, the Congress-led UDF in 11 and the NDA on one seat.

The counting of votes polled in 822 assembly constituencies in Kerala, West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry is underway amid tight Covid-19 guidelines. 

Exit polls showed that the left front is all set to beat the 40-year anti-incumbency trend and may win by a huge margin.

The decision comes a day after the Madras High Court took the Election Commission to task while hearing a suo motu case concerning the management of the Covid situation in Tamil Nadu.
