Before the votes are counted on May 2, the pollsters are back in business. The exit polls were released at around 7 pm Thursday after the polling for the eighth phase of West Bengal elections concluded.

The much-awaited exit poll results predict that the Pinarayi Vijayan-led Left government would return in Kerala.

In the 140-member Assembly, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) is projected to win 74 seats, UDF - 65, NDA - 1. This may be noted that in the 2016 Kerala Assembly Elections, the LDF had won 91 seats, UDF - 47, BJP and Independents - 1 each.
