Amid climate change, UN report warns of water crisis world over

According to a report by the United Nations' weather agency, climate change is expected to worsen the flood and drought situation globally and calls for better warning systems to be put in place to avoid a global water crisis.

The report published on Tuesday (October 5) says global water management is “fragmented and inadequate". 60% of 101 countries surveyed by UN's World Meteorological Organization needs better forecasting systems to avoid further devastation due to severe weather, the report added.
