PR Sreejesh Exclusive: 'Sportsmen and their achievements are now getting much more importance'

India's men's hockey team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh is yet to completely come to terms with the magnitude of what he has achieved at the Tokyo Olympics.

The bronze may well be worth much more or at least as much in gold for Sreejesh who has toiled away for over 21 years to achieve what every sportsperson want to in their career.

In an exclusive conversation with Asianet News, Sreejesh spoke of his journey from Kizhakkambalam village in Kerala's Ernakulam to Tokyo.

He also spoke at length about how the country's perspective about sports and sportsmen has changed over the last few years.
