Redmi Note 7 Pro sale: Customers queue up in long lines, many return empty-handed

The Redmi stores across Bengaluru witnessed customers queuing up to book their gadget as the manufacturer has for now allocated only a limited number of smartphones. Only the first 50 customers managed to get a token and later, the phone.

Bengaluru: The times have considerably changed over the years. A couple of decades ago, people would line up at government ration shops. These long queues are now seen for phones. The sheer madness about the purchase for Redmi's latest edition Note7 Pro brought hundreds to the heart of Bengaluru. The phone has a 48 MP rear camera and 4 GB RAM, with 64 GB storage and 4000mAh battery. The store executive at 1 MG Mall said they were only able to provide 50 tokens and distributed the phone at 12pm today (April 24).

Many hopefuls who had come to purchase the gadget left disappointed and empty-handed, claiming that the manufacturer can provide more units but has used this strategy to outdo its rivals.
