PubliCity: BMTC to deploy extra buses as BMRCL shuts operation on August 3 and 4

The good old transport means of bus service will come to passengers depending upon public transport rescue on August 3 and 4 as Namma Metro service will be shut due to maintenance work between MG road to Baiyappanahalli route. BMTC officials say, they will deploy additional buses on this route for passengers convenience.

Bengaluru: With Namma Metro service about to take a hit on August 3 and 4 due to its maintenance work, the passengers travelling between MG Road to Baiyappanahalli may be impacted.

However, with promises from BMTC about the deployment of extra buses and traffic department's assurance of deputing extra personnel to ensure traffic discipline, the commuters can hope to breathe a sigh of relief.

In the long run to keep the City traffic flowing smoothly and the public take-up state-owned transport system, BMTC will add 1200 more buses in the existing fleet of 6000 buses.
