5-year-old falls into storm water drain while disposing of garbage; search on

Bengaluru: A five-year-old boy Mohammed Zain was washed away in a storm water drain at Padarayanapura, Chamarajapete.

The incident took place on Friday (August 30), but came to light three days later. A girl, along with whom the boy went, confessed about the boy going missing in the drain.

She had gone to the drainage to dispose of the garbage when the incident took place. The parents of the missing boy lodged a complaint. It was only with the help of a CCTV footage that the act was caught.

Mayor Gangambike Mallikarjun and other officials visited the spot. They met the parents of Zain and consoled them.
