5 people drown in temple tank on Bengaluru outskirts

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a group of five people lost their lives in an attempt to save each other from drowning in a temple tank near Dobbspet, in the outskirts of Bengaluru.

According to sources, Munir Khan (49), Reshma (22), Usman Khan (14), Yaarab Khan (21) and Mubbin Taj (21) had travelled from Bengaluru to visit a mosque in Dobbspet. After visiting the mosque, they headed to a hill near a temple tank to have lunch.

One of the five, slipped and fell into the water. In an attempt to save the person, four others jumped into the water and unfortunately drowned.

Dobbspet Police has registered a complaint, and further reports are awaited.
