Want to dive into the world's deepest swimming pool? Head for Dubai

The 1500 sqm Deep Dive Dubai, which is shaped like a giant oyster, has a depth of over 60 metres and holds 14 million litres of water. That's equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Here is a new addition to the list of records already in Dubai's kitty. The Guinness World Records has verified the Deep Dive Dubai as the world's deepest swimming pool for diving.

The 1500 sqm Deep Dive Dubai, which is shaped like a giant oyster, has a depth of over 60 metres and holds 14 million litres of water. That's equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Located in Dubai's Nad Al Sheba neighbourhood, the pool has two underwater habitats with a dry chamber at six- and 21-metres.  According to data available, there are 56 underwater cameras, mood and lighting systems.

The pool's freshwater is treated every six hours using UV radiation, siliceous volcanic rock and NASA-developed filter technology.
