Woman begs authorities to spare her pet rooster from culling, her cries will tug at your heart strings

Mysuru district administration in Karnataka has ordered to cull birds within one kilometre from Kumbarakoppal village after reports of bird flu emerged from the region. Following this, a woman begged the health authorities not to cull her pet rooster.

Mysuru: With Avian Influenza or bird flu outbreak in Mysuru's Kumbarakoppal village in Karnataka, health and animal husbandry department officials have been culling birds within one kilometre radius. As the authorities reached a house and caught a rooster roaming, the woman owning the rooster came running to save the pet bird.

The woman resisted authorities’ move and pleaded them to spare her pet claiming the rooster is 'safe'. The authorities were left in a state of shock and when every villager in the surrounding were cooperating except this woman, who was hell-bent on saving her pet.

The sale of poultry and its products is banned in that region after the outbreak.
